Meet Greg & Darlene, the people behind the club
Welcome to Modern Cue Club, Kelowna’s premier destination for both competitive and casual billiards. Located conveniently at 2170 Harvey Ave, we are redefining the pool hall experience by blending premium table conditions with state-of-the-art technology and a true passion for the game.
Our Vision
We believe that an outstanding billiards room starts with professional premium tables, a clean and comfortable atmosphere, and access to the game for all ages and abilities. That’s why we’ve built a streamlined space focused on social and competitive recreation without the distractions of restaurant-like kitchen service or bar-style alcohol sales. Our seamless digital system provides everything you need, from table reservations, to intentionally calibrated table lighting, to a wide selection of snacks and cold beverages.
The Facility
Whether you are practicing your drills, playing a casual game with friends, or gearing up for league night, our room is equipped with top-tier equipment to handle it all. We feature a carefully curated selection of 9 premium pool tables, including eight 7' Diamond Pro Ams and one 9' Diamond Pro Am. Our boutique-style space has a bit of everything for everyone:
- A high-ceiling open forum of five tables for high-energy competition for large groups.
- A pair of tables one tier above the open forum for medium-sized groups.
- A loft-style 9' table perched on the highest tier that overlooks all of the action from above.
- A private space of one table tucked away downstairs that serves nicely for those wanting an escape from the high-energy atmosphere found above.
Our tables come equipped with matching Diamond Littman lights set to pro-level standards, and our private space downstairs features a tournament perimeter light.
Our Story
Modern Cue Club was founded by Greg and Darlene Austin out of a genuine love for billiards and a desire to bring an all-inclusive, modernized playing environment to the Okanagan. As parents and grandparents with a home pool table, we know what it is like to experience the joy of playing pool with your family and wanted to create a space that shares that same experience for everyone equally. We built MCC to be exactly the kind of club we all want to play in.
We are officially opening our doors on October 1, 2026, and we can’t wait to welcome you to the tables.
Less waiting.
More playing.

When does the club open?
October 1, 2026, at 2170 Harvey Ave in Kelowna. Founding members get in before the public launch, and the founding rate closes when the doors open.
What are the tables?
Nine Diamond tables: eight 7' Diamond Pro Ams and one 9' Diamond Pro Am, under matching Diamond Littman lights set to pro-level standards. The room is built around the game — no kitchen service and no bar — with snacks and cold drinks handled through the same system that books your table.
What does a Founding Membership actually get me?
Unlimited 24/7 table time with no session limits, 72-hour priority booking, up to three guests at $10 an hour each or $25 each for the whole day, paid by card when you book, the VIP hospitality room with refreshments and cold storage, complimentary access to the Ramada Hotel pool and fitness centre, and member-only events including the annual Club Championship. Your founding rate is locked and renews annually for as long as you stay a member.
Can I bring guests?
Members can bring up to three guests. Guests are $10 an hour each, or $25 each for the whole day. You pay by card when you book. Guests play alongside you and must be accompanied by the member at all times.
Do I have to be a member to play?
No. Non-members can book by the hour, up to three hours per table between 3 and 11 PM, six days a week, with 48-hour advance booking. Members play around the clock with no limits and book 72 hours ahead.
How does the club run with no staff?
Walk in and you are set up at a table. Your phone opens the door, your table lights up, and a smart locker releases your set of balls. Return them at the end and your session closes out automatically. Before you head over, check the crowd meter on your phone to see how busy the room is.
Can I cancel or transfer my membership?
Founding memberships, initiation fees, and monthly dues are strictly non-refundable and completely non-transferable. In exchange, your founding rate and terms are locked in and renew automatically each year for as long as you keep your membership active. Every member gets one month of grace per year for travel or medical leave.
